The Retrieval Ring is a training toy for dogs. Made of a soft, durable plastic, the ring can be wrapped around just about anything--a newspaper, plastic duck, or even a pair of slippers--to teach your dog to retrieve a specific item and deliver it back you.

Before use, you fill the ring with treats by holding it close to the retrieval plate and  triggering the magnetic compartment. Click the compartment closed, wrap it around the desired object, and place it in a location your dog could typically find it. Then walk with your dog to the location, and help them pick it up, encouraging them along the way. When they drop the ring off at the retrieval plate, the magnetic compartment will click open, exposing the treats. Your dog will enjoy the reward and you'll reinforce the good delivery.

After enough practice, your dog will get the hang of it. Soon they'll be retrieving the paper--or whatever object you choose--without the ring and bring it directly back to you for a reward.
